Back on track...

Whew! Sometimes just doing a "gut clean" is what it takes to re-inspire and get back on track! My sewing space is coming around...thank you all for your kind words of support and encouragement! It's so nice to know you aren't alone sometimes! ;) Getting back on track with my projects at hand and wanted to share one little tip with the tote bags. The crayon pockets can get kind of heavy, plus, they are going to be regularly used by busy, creative, little hands, so I decided to reinforce them with a bit of interfacing.
Super simple to do, just cut a piece of interfacing about 1 inch wider than the pockets, position and iron to the back of the bag where the pockets will be sewn. Then when you begin your pocket stitching this area will have a little extra support to help withstand use. I think any weight interfacing would be fine, whatever is on hand or is your preference to work with.
Also, did you see the latest addition to our Fat Quarter Shop giveaway
Is this the cutest little frog plushie being donated by one of our creative friends or what??? :)
Looking forward to seeing more of your entries!
Happy Sewing,
