Sew Much Comfort

I'm honored to get to share another inspiring outreach to service men & women, Sew Much Comfort
From their website...

"Our Mission: To provide custom-made adaptive clothing, free of charge, to all wounded service members from current conflicts and from all branches of the military and National Guard. We wish to aide in their recovery, provide a tangible reminder of our gratitude for their sacrifice and give them an added measure of comfort, dignity and freedom as they recover from their injuries and return to everyday life."

The smiling faces of those sewing for this outreach in the images on their site confirm the heart behind it all beautifully! Take a moment to visit their website and learn more!

American Hero Quilts / Aussie Hero Quilts

Ok quilters....this one is especially for you! :)
American Hero Quilts is doing some very special work!!!

From their website:
"American Hero Quilts were born out of the love and compassion of one determined Washington State woman. Her dream is that each of our injured troops...receive a "hug" of appreciation. These "hugs" are exceptional patriotic, heirloom quality quilts."

As you scroll the the pages and images on the site it is clear this group is determined about their goal! The Gallery is packed with the most beautiful images of carefully and lovingly crafted quilts.

Read through some of the testimonials and comments and you will instantly see clearly the amazing impact this outreach is having on individuals and their families....on both ends of the quilts....giving and receiving!

You can also learn about an Aussie blogger doing a similar thing to support their service men and women here! Love it!!!

Operation Shower

I want to take the opportunity this week to share about a few incredible organizations that support Service Men, Women and Families ongoing. I hope you will take the time to learn more and possibly even find a place that you can share your support after our Remember September project.

Today, I'd like to share with you about Operation Shower.

From their website:
"Operation Shower is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide joyful baby showers for military families to ease the burden of deployment."

Certainly sounds like something I would very proud to be a part of!

Take a moment to read the history behind this incredible outreach and you will be even more inspired!
There are so many ways to take part too. You can of course donate money or new items for mom and/or baby. You can also team up with local friends and family to build a "Shower In A Box" kit. You can even be a part of hosting a shower for a military family! Learn more from any of the following links...
