If you follow along with Hopeful Threads on facebook, you already know that we crossed a very special milestone around here last weekend.
Yup, my 6 year old son lost his very (long awaited) first tooth!
He was so thrilled and not a single tear! I must say, the Mr. has become quite good at helping our littles with this "letting go" stage. ;)
Special milestones call for special sewing of course.
His sisters each have lovely, sparkly, ruffly, ultra-girly tooth fairy pillows. Being in the "all-boy" category, we had to find something that matched him a bit better...
The Monster Tooth Pillow!
I had saved this tutorial from The Long Thread waiting for this occasion. Isn't he cute??? My lil' fella loved him too! His favorite color is yellow, so of course that was the perfect color for his friend! Then I had this adorable monster fabric I had snagged up a few months ago for the back...
And just that day I had received these darling tags I ordered...
"Mama made Monster approved"...what could be cuter???
Needless to say my little guy was quite pleased and very happy to put his tooth safely in his monster's toothy pocket....which sometime in the night was replaced with a bit of $$! ;)
I must say, it's so much fun sewing for the bunch around here!
You just never know what kind of "inspiration" will pop up next!
