Fabric Destash! Help me clear these goodies out!!!

If you are like me, you often purchase fabric with genuine plans or intentions that well, never seem to materialize. PLEASE tell me I'm NOT alone!!!!! :) I've been holding on to a variety of fabrics I've purchased waaaaaaay too long and am ready to DESTASH to make my sewing space more functional.

I have a lot of really great polyester print fabrics that I originally purchased with the intent of having laminated for cloth diaper sewing. I've finally accepted....Not going to happen.

I also have a variety of knits available, like this fun thermal knit.

I have a lot of vintage fabrics that I bought....well.....just because I loved them. I've used some, but I have waaaaaay too much and it's time to let some go. There are some REALLY unique pieces for your consideration! :)

I also have a bunch of patterns I have created a variety of bundles from....many of these patterns are vintage. I acquired a BUNCH of vintage patterns, and have not been through them all, so I am not certain of the contents. Prices will reflect this. I will note when they are new on the images.

Lastly, I have separated and bundled all my cotton scraps and have POUNDS of them at great prices ready to head to your homes!!! :)

Find all that's available in my DESTASH Flickr Album HERE.
Comment "SOLD" under any images you want to purchase, note yardage if necessary, and then email me with your PayPal address for invoicing.
Prices do not include shipping. I am happy to combine as many as you'd like and will ship the least expensive way possible including tracking. International interest is welcome, however, I can not provide tracking for those packages and obviously can not be held responsible for them once they have shipped.

Email me with any questions.
Please, help me clear this out!
Spread the word to all your sewing and quilting friends!

Sewing Essential - Simple Serger Shifting Solution

:) Say that 5 times fast! :)

I was working with my serger the other night and it nearly leaped off my my desk! I immediately remembered using a piece of shelf liner on my old desk to help keep it in place, so, went on the hunt.

You can find this stuff by the roll, and pretty inexpensively. I've even found it at dollar and discount stores. I happened to have a roll stashed away, as it is also very good cut in thin strips to use on hairbows to keep them from sliding.....but that's another post. ;)

It's a foamy sort of sheet that completely prevents shifting and slipping.
I rolled a nice piece out, cut it and doubled it over to fit nicely under all 4 of my serger's feet.
Right back to work.....with no machine leaping.
Happier and much safer stitching!
Go ahead and add that to your shopping list. Then, check out some of my other favorite sewing enhancers on my "Sewing Essentials" page at the top of the blog or by clicking HERE.

Baby Quilt for 3rd Quarter Project

This sweet ducky quilt is my latest finish for our 3rd Quarter Project.
I bought this kit last year anticipating to sew it up for one of our projects and never got around to it. It was a really quick and easy sew and will be perfect for donation to our Crisis Pregnancy Center for our current project.

The instructions had it to where you would piece the front and then just sew it to the backing. Didn't really say "quilt" to me that way, so I added a little batting and quilted a little wave pattern on the backing fabric first.
The kit was made up of a variety of soft fabrics.....cotton, flannel, satin and the center is a fluffy, plush fabric. I hope the baby and family that receives it will enjoy using it. :)

This is the first of several baby quilts I hope to finish this quarter for donation. Additionally, I will be participating in the Quilts for Kids 2014 quilt drive for children in need with each one created for donation. You can learn more about how you too can participate in this wonderful project by clicking the image below...

Keep sewing and spreading the word, we have the opportunity to encourage many this month with our efforts! Learn more about our current project and how you can be a part here.

3rd Quarter Project Progress....Behind the Scenes Busy-ness!

Been BUSY, BUSY, BUSY behind the scenes here!
How's your Baby Sewing going?
Have you decided where you will be donating your handmade items this quarter?
Would love to see and hear, so please share in our 3rd Quarter Flickr share album!

Here's the first of my finishes....
So far, 22 burp cloths in bundles of 2 and 38 bibs, many of which where made using minky "bits" from our friends at Binkeez for Comfort

This set is made with fleece backing from remnants of other projects. Bibs & Burpcloths are great projects for using up smaller cuts and fabric remnants!

It's the beginning of August, so still plenty of time to be part of our 3rd Quarter Project. Get all the details about the project HERE.
