Wouldn't you know- "learn to embroider" is on my list of things to do. I have 2 Christmas quilts that won't be because I never learned. They're hopefully going to be birthday presents.

I've really come to love our elf on the shelf. Today he brought my kids a gingerbread house to decorate.

my family started a new tradition a few ago, after all the kids got married and moved away. anyone who is 'home' for christmas sleeps at my parent's house christmas eve. it's a lot of fun to have the whole family together and have all the little kids get to know their cousins better. plus, we don't have to waste any time christmas morning on waiting for everyone to show up.

Hi Kristy... One of my favorite Christmas traditions I'm trying to hold onto is having the kids open gifts as a family Christmas morning. With the kids being older it's getting tougher each year. My daughter lives at home while going to college so she'll be home. My son is now married with a one yr. old as well as being in the Marine Corp. My son will be home for Christmas this year but he deploys for Afghanistan this coming April so no promises for the holidays next year. This will be a special year as we'll be together and my grandson is old enough to have some fun.

Thank you for such a great giveaway and a chance to win.

usairdoll(at)gmail(dot)com
PS. Kristy..I have 5 pairs of diaper covers crocheted-Going to try a knitting pattern next. I'll keep in touch- Happy Holidays!!

I love to spend Christmas Day putting a Christmas Puzzle together, eating anything my heart desires...of course, first I watch my two darling kitties open their Christmas presents while I have my morning coffee. I don't mean to sound like Scrooge...but my life is super busy and I hide on Christmas Day and spend it quietly doing what I want to do.

We spend Christmas with our oldest son and family. The first one up Christmas morning turns on the television to the channel playing "A Christmas Story" all day long. We have so much fun shouting out the lines. It is even better when my son, all 6'8" and 43 years old, puts on his "Ralphie" pink bunny suit. It is so dang funny, I nearly wet myself from laughing every year. We have a blast.

We'd go up the mountain and cut our Christmas tree. Lots of fun but 2 years ago I bought an artificial tree. My husband was undergoing chemo and it was his job to string the lights. Wasn't going to happen that year and he's thanked me ever since so I guess it's a good trade. Thanks for the giveaway.

kimmysue said...

We take turns opening presents on Christmas morning. That way we can see who got what, and it makes the excitement last longer. Sometimes, when there's a house full of people, we'll be opening presents until lunch time!

HoneySage said...

I like to wake up before everyone else and make a pot of coffee and a pot of hot cocoa, then I go around the house strategically placing trash bags where paper will most likely be thrown. When I have everything set up to make my day easier, I start the Christmas music and sit enjoying the tree. It takes about 5 minutes for everyone to hear the music and come rushing in. Thank you for a sweet giveaway!

HoneySage said...

I follow you.

We have a Jesse Tree that we put an ornament on every day during Advent. Love doing it with my daughter.
