Support FAMILY

One great way to extend your love of FAMILY is to support those that are growing their own families through the gift of adoption. Adoption expenses are not small, and unlike with naturally born children, insurance does not help cover the cost. Therefore, it is often necessary for families to raise funds to cover the actual expense of adoption. That's where Hidden Treasures comes in.

 Hidden Treasures is one of several avenues I have found and use to provide ongoing support for multiple families on the journey to adopt. Every couple of months there is an auction of donated items where the funds raised go directly to the adoptive family sponsored that month, to help with their adoption expenses. Hidden Treasures also provides updates about the past families supported so you are able to see how your gifts continue to grow.

There is an auction currently open, and I invite you to take this opportunity to show your support of Family by visiting. Maybe even becoming a regular follower so you can keep up with families and upcoming auctions. Maybe considering what you might be able to contribute as a donation for a future auction. Maybe bidding on items currently being offered. 

Family is no doubt the greatest treasure.

Supporting FAMILY within our own homes and outside of them is ALWAYS a good thing!

Love Without Boundaries Auction BEGINS!!!

Today's the day that the Love Without Boundaries "Born In My Heart" Art Auction begins!

Please take a moment to visit the auction and see all the amazing items that have been donated for the purpose of raising money for children in need. Items will begin loading at 3pm EST and may take several hours before everything is posted, so be sure to check often! Money raised is used to fund surgeries for children with urgent needs. 

You'll remember me sharing about Love Without Boundaries last month helping to get the word out about the need for bibs for the cleft surgery team that is in country this week! I'm delighted to say that I was overwhelmed by how many of you stepped up to sew bibs for these sweet babies! You are a blessing!

  Wow. I don't even know where to begin here. 

I've been following Ashley's creative blog for a while now. Her style, inspiration and playful personality are nothing short of contagious.

Her story took an especially difficult turn the end of 2011 and has left her fighting a battle with a very serious type of Cancer. I can only imagine the things that pass through her mind these days, but a very special group of her friends and fans known as "Team Ashley" have decided that $$ shouldn't be one of those things. They have organized a two day auction FULL, and I mean FULL, of amazing items for you to bid on, with the money raised going to Ashley and her family.

May I introduce to you a phenomenal organization doing some amazing work for some of the most fragile in China, Love Without Boundaries. 

 Each year, Love Without Boundaries holds a very special auction. It's called the Born In My Heart Art Auction. This year the auction is scheduled for April 12-17. 

THEY NEED YOU!!!

They need you to contribute items to be bid on by April 1st.

They need you to spread the word about the auction far and wide.

They need you to bid on the lovely items being auctioned.

WHY????

Because the $$ raised helps fund life saving and life changing surgeries for children in urgent need.

Hidden Treasures Auction!

Friends, please take a moment to check out this GIFT FILLED auction taking place to raise funds for an adopting family! There are LOADS of great items that have been donated by a variety of business, all with low starting bids! And every penny raised will help unite a precious, waiting child with her Forever Family!

The auction is taking place at Hidden Treasures and you can get all the details about how the bidding works here. The auction will run from December 1 - December 7 and all donors have been asked to ship their items within 48 hours to insure delivery by Christmas! So what are you waiting for??? Pop over, get some of that Christmas shopping DONE and be blessed by making a difference in the lives of a waiting child and her adoptive family! This is my kind of celebration for sure!!!

Auction Opportunity!!!

Good Morning Friends!

I wanted to share an opportunity with all you crafty folks. An opportunity to use your talent to support a family adopting a young lady from China.

Meet Faith.

Faith is 11 years old and currently living in China. She is awaiting the time when she will soon be united with her family here in the US, who are in the adoption process. Her mom, dad and 3 siblings can't wait to get her home!!! (you can click the image above to learn more on her mama's blog.)

This is where you come in.

Some friends have put together a facebook auction that will take place from August 4th-8th. They are in need of donations of items to be auctioned. Seriously folks, anything that you have made that you would like to offer would be most welcome and appreciated! You can get all the details here.

I'm very excited to share with you what I will be donating from Hopeful Threads!!!

 A sweet "Faith" doll made from the Bit of Whimsy pattern my girls and I made our ABC Sister dolls with.

 A coordinating A-line Tunic made from a Whimsy Couture pattern.

And, a darling Ruffle Skirt set, with the skirt made from that Ginger & Louise pattern I've gotten carried away with! ;)
